I received my plant and was impressed by the packaging. The plant was healthy & I immediately planted it in a small garden spot under my living room window. It is pretty small right now but I’m sure it will grow quickly. The plan is for the crape myrtle to be the focus in the garden. While we wait for it to grow I put a few potted annuals in the garden. Plant was received with about 1/3 of the soil out of the pot and laying at the bottom of the box. Called nursery and was advised to go ahead and plant and would replace if necessary. Plant received was large and appeared to be OK. Plant has been in the ground now for about 3 weeks and is flowering and doing fine.

The Bush is healthy, medium green smallish sized leaves. Kind of a plump ball about 18” in diameter. Dirt was moist . Sat in the sun x 4 hours while I added a sprinkler head for it, and planted it. Took the heat well, no wilting noted.. I can’t believe it’s a crape myrtle, and one that will be so beautifully red a Cherry Dazzle crape myrtle. I needed 7 more to complete a project I started 4 yrs ago. Trying to find a seller that had these in stock was next to impossible. Enter Wilson Bros. Yep we have them.
4 days later I had them. One box was slightly squished but due to their excellent packaging, the plant was fine. Nothing broken, nothing bent.

After going to several local nurseries, I turned to the internet. What a find! Not only did I find the exact bushes I wanted, but they would be shipped a very short distance. I started with a phone call which was returned within a few hours. My questions were answered and shipping arrangements were worked out. The plants arrived on time in perfect condition. They were in the ground by the next day. The planting instructions were very easy to understand. The only difficulty was size hole you need for a three gallon size plant. The plants have been in the ground for several weeks now and they seem to like their new home. They really are looking good. Regarding the size to dig the planting hole, we usually suggest at least twice as wide as the container/root ball, the wider the better. A 3 gallon container is typically 10 inches wide so that would be at least a 20-inch wide hole, but wider is better. I usually dig a little deeper than the root ball but always make sure that when planting that the top edge of the root ball is at or slightly above ground level to allow for settling. The two (3 gal. bucket) plants I received were moist and undamaged from transit. I immediately placed them in the ground and watered them in. So far there is no sign of shock damage or breakage, and it has been several weeks now. I suppose the real test will come in the Spring. I received my Cherry Dazzle Crape Myrtle very quickly. It was packaged extremely well and was a VERY healthy looking plant. When I opened the box it had a bunch of tiny white looking buds on it. I looked at the tag to see if they shipped the Cherry Dazzle and that’s what the label said. I waited a few days and watched it and they still appeared “white”. At that point I emailed them and asked if it should have white buds on it. They responded quickly and said they went in the field and some of theirs appeared that way also. They told me if it did turn out to be white when the blooms fully opened they would send me another one at no charge. When the blooms opened it was indeed cherry red and I love it. I’m thinking the bud color could’ve been due to cooler temps and lack of sunlight when the flower buds were forming. On rare occasion, when red crape myrtle flowers open during cool, cloudy weather, instead of opening red, they can open white. In 2013 this happened to our entire crop of Dynamite Crape Myrtles. Kind of freaked us all out because we knew 100% for sure they were Dynamites. This 3 gallon plant arrived as described-well packed and well watered. Although it was small–and I was told that it was– it was healthy . Since being planted, it is putting on new leaves. I hope it will bloom this summer. Very happy with this purchase.

I was a little nervous about ordering a plant on the internet but since I live in a small town not near a nursery I had no choice. Plant arrived in great condition and looks very healthy. I like how you put staples in the box that held the container in place so the plant isn’t crushed during transit. Very smart. I look forward to seeing the flowers on this plant next summer.

We love crape myrtle and have six towering Natchez Crape Myrtles at least 40′ tall. As we landscaped our yard, we wanted the same crape myrtle look but on a smaller scale. The Razzle Dazzles are the perfect answer. The low-growing, perfectly shaped plants are perfect in our garden.
